My Psychology and Social and Professional ethics tutor at college those days, Fr. Dr. Kireti used to say, "A teacher is never wanting worldly things. He'll only buy a new book he sees or a new jacket (read: koti la suti). Not luxuries and fancies"
I have agreed to agree with this idea. That's what teachers are able to afford. And what do we get in return? A shikamoo when we pass through walking and a glimpse of these students of ours doing great in life. One of them decided to write this poem for us, it'll appear in the school magazine this coming Sept.

I haven't made any change or correction whatsoever.
HOW WITHOUT A TEACHER?
Who else can make me intelligent?
Who else can make me wiser?
Who else can make me rich?
Who else can make me comfort?
Who else is like teacher?

Never will I make my teacher angry?
Never will I make my teacher sad?
Never will I make my teacher gloomy?
Never will I make my teacher worried?
Who else is like teacher?

I will always respect my teacher?
I will always seek advice from teacher
I will always pay attention to my teacher
I will always support my teacher
Who else is like teacher?

You sacrifice your time for me
You find extra effort for my success
You give me hope where I discouraged
You positively make my altitude
Who else is like teacher?

Why can’t I give you thanks?
Why can’t I pray for you?
Why can’t I hear your voice?
Who else is like teacher?
